Freelance Writing
I especially enjoy in-person interviewing, and I’m looking for opportunities to meet new people and learn about what they enjoy and why. I also want opportunities to portray memorable places and capture their scenic and sensory details. The arts and environmental issues are both topics I’d like to cover more often.
I can assist:
• If you have a compelling story that needs telling
• If you know an amazing person you want to celebrate
• If a location you’ve created is a little-known gem that you want the world to discover
• If you’re an editor of a print or online publication and you need an experienced writer and interviewer, or you’re building a team of writers for a special project.
Bonus: I also love photography, and while writing is my strongest suit, I’ve been told I have a good photographic eye. So I’d be happy to snap a few photos while I’m on-site for an interview.
Education
I especially enjoy working with young people, and I’m eager to encourage kids who are interested in creative writing to help them find their voices. I’m also happy to discuss writing-centered careers such as journalism.

Working one-on-one to mentor young writers interested in creative writing or journalism

Poetry
I write poetry, and I enjoy reading mine aloud as well as attending readings by others. I’m also interested in finding new ways for people to discover and enjoy poetry.
